
To complete the quest the Sole Survivor must return to Sanctuary and talk to Preston Garvey. With the threat neutralized, the Sole Survivor can talk to the settler from before to receive thanks and a reward of ~100 caps, as well as ownership of the settlement (and thus access to its workshop). Unmarked enemies do not need to be killed to complete the quest. To complete the objective, the Sole Survivor must travel to the raider hideout and eliminate the marked raider. The settler will point the Sole Survivor to the raider hideout and ask that they are eliminated for the safety of the settlement. To proceed with the quest the Sole Survivor must travel to the settlement and talk to their leader, who will give the details: a large group of raiders has been harassing the settlement and causing trouble. Preston will ask the Sole Survivor to travel to the settlement and help them out, hoping that the settlers will choose to support the Minutemen in return. After the Sole Survivor agrees, Preston will tell them about a nearby settlement that has been having trouble with raiders. At the conclusion of the main quest, you will receive two of three possible perks based on your preference between the gangs.Ĭompleting the quest and leaving the quest area will activate a miscellaneous objective to travel back to claim your gang's tribute stash.Upon returning to Sanctuary Hills at the end of When Freedom Calls, Preston Garvey will approach the Sole Survivor and ask them to help rebuild the Minutemen. There's no way, however, to be entirely fair to the three groups. Claiming an area for a raider gang raises your favor with them. Once you've reset the system to secure the area, head to the upper deck of Starport Nuka and use the signal flagpole to raise the flag of the gang you want to assign the area to. Check out Polygon's Fallout 4: Nuka-Town collectibles guide for the locations of all 35 star cores. You'll need 35 star cores to open the display case in Starport Nuka to get the power armor. Once you've collected 20 star cores, you can use the mainframe to do a system reset and turn off the defensive mode protocol that the robots have all been set to. Toggle over to the View Star Core page on the terminal to see a breakdown of how many Star Cores are in each location. Basic operation requires one Star Core, but full functionality requires 35. Use the terminal to initialize emergency operations mode.

If you haven't happened on one by accident yet, there is one near the body of Kendall Alston, lying on the ground near the mainframe. To restart it, you'll need to install one of the missing Star Cores. The Star Control mainframe runs Galactic Zone. Head down the stairs to the lower level to find a mainframe called Star Control. Loot the body to pick up Tiana's Log.įollow your marker to Starport Nuka.
